My camera (an old sony handycam) failed on me few weeks ago, I tried to resurrect it since I have endless footage shot using it, and I also like the grainy-ish effect of the image it creates. I have managed to make it work again, only I am sure it won't last forever, hopefully until my project ends, otherwise, I will have to mix old footage with different quality ones, which becomes a sort of a statement that I need to consider and think about.
Maybe mixing footage from different cameras could be a genuine way of dealing with the rapidly - ever changing image qualities nowadays.
